Venezuelan alumina producer Bauxilum has returned production to normal levels after a period of below-average output, according to local news reports.
That production drop came because only two out of four calciners were operating at the 2-million tpy refinery at Puerto Ordaz. One had been down for scheduled maintenance when technical problems forced a second out of action.
That maintenance work was accelerated with the company now operating three calciners. The fourth one is expected to come back on line on July 4.
