Aluminium futures up

NEW DELHI: Aluminium futures traded 0.38 per cent higher at the Multi Commodity Exchange on Monday as speculators enlarged positions on firm global cues. Pick up in demand in the spot markets from consuming industries also supported the uptrend in aluminium prices at futures market. At the MCX counter, aluminium for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 0.40, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 104.85 per kg. January contract also moved up by Rs 0.35 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 106.05 per kg with. Analysts said besides the firming trend in global market on hopes of good demand on signs of recovery in economies, firming trend in spot markets also attributed to rise in futures prices. — PTI
