Recently listed Aziana is making solid progress at the Alakamisy Gold Project and Manantenina Bauxite Project in Madagascar where seven teams are undergoing exploration, just 4 months since commencing its IPO.
The Alakamisy Gold Project expands to 9 large visible gold laterite target areas with 310 test pits already completed. The 7 exploration teams are active covering 6 gold projects in greenstone belt and shear zone environments.
Early work from the Manantenina Bauxite Project which includes over 3,000 samples from 459 test pits has returned promising intersections of visible bauxite, averaging more than 5 meters thick with continuity of bauxite over at least 40 square kilometers to date. Over the past four months Aziana has collected more than 4,000 samples from its gold and bauxite projects and completed over 750 test pits with a combined length exceeding 3,500 meters.
The company is currently completing a shallow test pit program at the Alakamisy Gold Project around the artisanal workings and laboratory assay results are expected by early 2012. It has started a soil auger geochemical program to test the wider gold prospectivity and to identify additional drill targets over the entire 112.5 square kilometers licensed area. The first soil assay results are expected in early 2012.
