Brazil Bauxite Exports Drop 18% in H1 2012

　　Bauxite exports from Brazil dropped 18% in the first half of 2012 to 3.07 million tonnes, according to information from the Brazilian trade ministry.

　　Uncalcined bauxite accounted for 2.96 million tonnes, with only 108,201 tonnes of calcined bauxite exported over the first 6 months of this year. Bauxite export revenues grew slightly to $162.66 million in the first half of 2012, compared with $161.46 million in the same period of 2011.
