Aluminum trades lower in futures trade on global cues

Aluminum prices fell by 0.54 per cent to Rs 101.85 per kg in futures trading today as speculators offloaded their positions on the back of weak global trend.


At the Multi Commodity Exchange ,aluminum for delivery in May declined by 55 paise, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 101.85 per kg in business turnover of 1,463 lots.


Similarly, the metal for delivery in the June contract traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 102.80 per kg in 212 lots.


Analysts said speculators offloaded their positions in tandem with a weak global trend mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade .


Meanwhile, aluminum lost 0.7 per cent to $ 1,894.75 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange .
