The project will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, Metalex will install a side well furnace to increase the production capacity of billet to 90,000 tons/year from the current 75,000 tons/year. In the second phase, a new recycling production line will be added to raise the scrap utilization from 60% to 80%.
