Hydro to reopen extrusion plant in Sweden

   Hydro recently announced that it has decided to reopen its extrusion plant in Sjunnen, Sweden, which was idled a few years ago. The decision was to fulfill the continuous growing demand for sustainable aluminum profiles.

  The extrusion plant will be fully put into operation in the fall of 2021. The resumption was expected to raise Hydro Extrusions Sweden’s production capacity of aluminum profiles made of recycled aluminum by around 20%.
  In addition, due to the surging demand for high-quality and sustainable aluminum profiles, Hydro Extrusions Sweden will add a new extrusion press and increase its annual production capacity by roughly 10,000 tons.
