RUSAL raises large syndicated loan

RBC, 21.03.2007, Moscow 18:43:49.RUSAL raised a syndicated loan of $500m which will be used to help Khakas Aluminum Smelter reach its planned capacity and to refinance loans secured earlier, the company's press office said. The loan has been extended for a term of 12 years, and will be repaid with sales proceeds. The interest rate depends on the maturity period and was set at LIBOR plus 1.2 percent for the first three years. The loan was arranged by BNP Paribas, and syndicated by Calyon, BLB, HSBC, Mizuho, Natixis, Sberbank of Russia, SG, and SMBC.
