JAKARTA--OAO Russian Aluminium, also called RusAl, plans to invest IDR26 trillion ($2.8 billion) to build an aluminum smelter and power plant in West Java, Bisnis Indonesia reported Wednesday.
The newspaper quoted West Java Governor Danny Setiawan as saying that he hoped the world's largest privately held aluminum company would soon realize its investment plan.
Setiawan met a delegate from RusAl on Tuesday, the report said.
