Outotec to deliver two alumina calciners to Russia

Outotec, formerly known as Outokumpu Technology, said it has agreed to supply two alumina calciners to the Komi Aluminium project in Russia.

The project, owned by UC RUSAL, is for a 1.4 million tpy alumina refinery, which is due to be operational in 2009.

The deal, valued at 20m euro (US$26.9m) is Outotec's first for calciners in Russia.
