Rusal Appoint New Independent nonexecutive Director

Moscow,Dec. 17—RUSAL declared to appoint Simon Thompson to be its independent nonexecutive director. Simon is an important broad member before and also the member of BAR Group Executive Committee, joined in Rusal in December in 2007. After Philip Lader and Nigel Kenny, Simon Thompson become the third independent nonexecutive director of Rusal. Simon Thompson has abundant experience on metal and mining industry; it has been a senior manager of Minorco and BAR Group. He said it is honor to join in Rusal.
