UC Rusal to buy control shares of Norilsk Nickel

Moscow, Dec. 21—UC Rusal said on Friday its plans to buy Mikhail Prokhorov control shares of Norilsk Nickel for it intend to build up a world class metal and mining company. This statement was made after Vladimir Potanin reject to join in this deal, it said it has no interest on this transaction. Billionaire Oleg Deripaska who takes charge of Rusal said in an statement that: “ this move will help Rusal to create the international diversified metal & mining company.”
