CPI to Towards Russia over Alumina Projects with Rusal

Hong Kong, April 9, 2008--China Power Investment Corp. (CPI) will send a survey delegation to Russia for the proposal of setting up an alumina plant in Guinea and a 2.8 million tpy aluminium smelter in China with partner Rusal. The plan will tamp Rusal’s expansion in China together with guaranteeing alumina supplies from Chinese companies. “We will go to Russia this month to see whether the investment is feasible.” Said a senior executive from CPIC’s metals branch.
