Moscow, 21 April—United Company RUSAL announced yesterday that its five bauxite mines in Urals have resumed operations, and workers of the mines have ended hunger strike, which the company considered to be illegal. The largest aluminium producer in the world said earlier that its aluminium and alumina production will not entail influence by the strike, as it has enough bauxite in other facilities. 75 workers in Krasnaya Shapochka, part of Sevuralboksitruda(SUBR), started a hunger strike since April 13 for pay rise.
