Rusal hopes to change structure of NorilskNickel's board

Artem Volynets, the member of Board of UC Rusal said, the company hopes to change the structure of the board of JSC MMC NorilskNickel. Russia's Vedomosti said on May 27, Rusal hope to appoint three members into the board of NorilskNickel, citing the words of ArtemVolynets. And Rusal hopes the board to be lead by an independent director. The board is currently in charged by Andrey Klishas, the president of board of Interros Holdings. UC Rusal bought 25%-plus-one-share of NorilskNickel from Onexim Group with unidentified cash and 14% shares in April. Interros holds 30% stakes of NorilskNickel, with the remaind shared holds by minority shareholdes. The shareholders will vote on the new board on the yearly shareholder meeting opened on June 30.
