The data, which does not include all exports via neighbouring Belarus, showed the value of the exported metal was up 0.3 percent to $4.697 billion.
Nickel exports to non-CIS countries rose by 0.7 percent to 140,200 tonnes in the first seven months of this year, while their value fell by 37.6 percent.
Refined copper export volumes to non-CIS countries fell 32.1 percent to 97,400 tonnes but their value was down 18.9 percent.
The Federal Customs Service gave the following data for Russian aluminium, nickel and copper exports between January and July.
