Moscow, October 8, 2008 (www.cnal.com) Russia exported 2.37 million tons of aluminium to non-CIS countries during the first eight months, down 8.0 percent as against the same period a year ago, according to data from Federal Customs Service yesterday.
Copper exported to the non-CIS countries in the period was 112,400 tons, slipping by 35.8 percent on year. While nickel dropped by 2.2% to 162,700 tons on a year-on-year basis.
