Russian aluminum exports slide by 4pct

Russia’s aluminum exports dropped by 4% to 1.96 million tonnes during the first 7 months compared to the same period of last year.

The value for the aluminum export in the H1 was US3.5 billion compared to 2.9 billion in the same period last year. Russia’s exports of aluminum totaled 1.94 million tonnes during January to July. During the first 7 months of 2009 exports of aluminum totaled 2.03 million tonnes.
