Russian aluminum giant Rusal is calling for a fresh shareholder meeting at miner Norilsk Nickel -- the second in two months as a feud between two Russian tycoons rages on.

Rusal's owner Oleg Deripaska is locked in a months-long confrontation with rival tycoon Vladimir Potanin over Norilsk cash flows. Both men hold 25 percent in Norilsk; Potanin through investment vehicle Interros.

Rusal on Thursday criticized Norilsk's decision to sell some 8 percent of its treasury shares to London-based oil and metals trader Trafigura.

The treasury shares, kept on the balance sheet of the company's subsidiaries and controlled by the management, were crucial for Norilsk managers and Interros to secure control over the company in an October vote.
