RUSAL, a global leading aluminum supplier in Russia, said it has signed a contract with the brewery Budweiser to supply 5 million aluminum beer cans with ultra-low carbon emissions during the manufacturing process.
These aluminum cans will be produced with more environmentally friendly technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions during the smelting process.
The raw materials for these 440ml cans will come from RUSAL’s Krasnoyarsk plant in Siberia, operated by hydroelectric power generation, and were scheduled to go on sale in the UK this year.
