S.Korea buys 6,000 tonnes of aluminium ingot

SEOUL, Feb 26 (Reuters) - South Korea has bought 6,000 tonnes of primary aluminium ingot from BHP Billiton Marketing for shipping by May 29 to the port of Gunsan, the state-run Public Procurement Service said on Thursday. The agency agreed to buy 4,000 tonnes of Western origin aluminium at a premium of $63 a tonne over London Metal Exchange cash prices on a cost, insurance and freight basis and 2,000 tonnes of non-Western origin at a premium of $57 per tonne, the agency said.
