S.Korea seeks 6,000 T aluminium, 5,000 T copper

SEOUL, March 3 (Reuters) - South Korea has issued a tender to buy 6,000 tonnes of primary aluminium ingot and 5,000 tonnes of copper cathode, the state-run Public Procurement Service said on Tuesday. The agency is seeking 1,000 tonnes of aluminium with Western origin to the port of Busan and 5,000 tonnes of non-western aluminium to the port of Gunsan. The tender will close at 1:30 p.m. (0430 GMT) on March 12. It is also planning to buy 5,000 tonnes of copper to the port of Incheon, and the auction will close at 1:40 p.m. (0440 GMT) the same day.
