South Korea buys 6,000 tonnes of aluminium

SEOUL, April 9 (Reuters) - South Korea has bought 6,000 tonnes of primary aluminium ingot with non-western origin for shipping by May 29 to the port of Incheon, the state-run Public Procurement Service said on Thursday. The agency bought 1,000 tonnes from BHP Billiton Marketing at a premium of $135 a tonne over London Metal Exchange cash prices on a cost, insurance and freight basis, and another 5,000 tonnes from a local trading firm at a premium of $165 a tonne.
