S.Korea buys 2,000 T aluminium, passes 3,000T tender

SEOUL, July 1 (Reuters) - South Korea has bought 2,000 tonnes of primary aluminium ingot for Aug. 20 shipping to the port of Incheon but passed on a tender for another 3,000 tonnes, the state-run Public Procurement Service said on Wednesday. It purchased the metal with non-Western origin at a premium of $128 a tonne over London Metal Exchange cash prices from Glencore including cost, insurance and freight. The agency has yet to decide when to retender the remaining 3,000 tonnes of aluminium.
