S.Korea buys 3,000 T aluminium ingot

SEOUL, July 28 (Reuters) - South Korea has bought 3,000 tonnes of western-origin aluminium ingot for Sept. 30 delivery, but passed on another tender to buy 3,000 tonnes of non-western origin, the state-run Public Procurement Service (PPS) said on Tuesday. The agency bought 2,000 tonnes at a premium of $119 per tonne over London Metal Exchange (LME) cash prices on a cost, insurance and freight (CIF) basis to the port of Incheon, and the remainder at a $132 premium to LME prices, CIF, a PPS official said.
