Copper slips lower in a knee-jerk reaction to a 4,275-metric ton hike in London Metal Exchange stocks, a broker notes. LME stocks are now 216,100 tons, a net increase of 8,400 tons this week. LME copper trades last at $5,695/ton, down from $5,760/ton overnight, and slightly up from a low of $5,670/ton seen when the data was released.
