LME-registered stocks of NASAAC fell by 1,680t last week, extending the weekly downtrend to five consecutive weeks and leaving the headline figure at its lowest level since September of last year

With only a minimal 320t of fresh warrantings last month, NASAAC stocks fell by 6,380t in August. Until such time as inflow recovers, the trend seems likely to continue. Cancelled tonnage has slipped from its Aug 21 peak of 4,600t but fresh cancellations are still coming though daily—there were another 320t of them last week—and the cancelled pipeline will support current draw rates for several more days yet.
