Base metals price up on strong LME advices, demand

Influenced by firming trends at London Metal Exchange, select base metals price inched up in the wholesale non-ferrous metal market Friday. Traders said strong trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and pick up in demand from consuming industries helped prices to improve. Nickel plate (4x4), (9x9) and (4x24) gained another Rs 5 each at Rs 1340-1390, Rs 1360-1480 and Rs 1365-1390 per kilo respectively. Tin ingot also rose by Rs 5 at Rs 740 per kilo from the last rates of Rs 735 per kilo.
