Former LME head named Marex Group director

LONDON, Oct 12 - Investment manager and commodities broker Marex Group named the London Metal Exchange's former head Simon Heale non-executive director of its board, Marex said at an annual meeting of LME members and traders. Heale, who was chief executive of the LME until May 2006, is also a non-executive director of Kazakhmys PLC, the world's tenth-largest copper miner, as well as Morgan Crucible Co and Panmure Gordon & Co. Marex Group has $10 billion in capital under management. Its brokerage unit Marex Financial is one of 13 ring dealing members on the LME, which trades metals and plastics futures.
