Rio Tinto 2007 sale in China reach $6.1b

Rio Tinto said on 19 its sale in China has reach $6.1b, takes up 18% of its total sale, 80% of these sale are iron ore. According to the average number of Rio Tinto’s sale, its net profit in China is $1.33b. Rio Tinto Asia and China chairmen Lu Jiucheng said copper business has takes up 43% of the total profit, rank the first, iron ore profit takes up 32%. Iron ore business will be the biggest profit of Rio Tinto in 2008. Rio Tinto China chief economist Han XU said Rio Tinto is optimistic of the future. China and India market hasn’t influenced by western market. China is the main facts to promote this demand.
