Unwrought aluminium stocks at 1.666 mln T in Jan-IAI

LONDON, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Global unwrought aluminium stocks fell to 1.666 million tonnes at the end of January from 1.676 million tonnes in December, industry data showed on Thursday. Unwrought stocks were 1.640 million tonnes in January 2008, provisional International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products rose to 2.986 million tonnes at the end of January from 2.959 million tonnes in December and 2.944 million tonnes in January 2008.
