Rio Tinto may split up Alcan units for sale -CFO

LONDON, April 15 (Reuters) - Miner Rio Tinto (RIO.L) (RIO.AX) may offer to sell the packaging and engineering units of its aluminium division in smaller parts to attract buyers, its chief financial officer said on Wednesday. Guy Ellliott told the firm's annual general meeting that he hoped the strategy will help the group in the long-delayed disposals after buying Canada's Alcan.
