Unwrought aluminium stocks 1.540 mln in March-IAI

LONDON, April 27 (Reuters) - Western world unwrought aluminium stocks fell to 1.540 million tonnes at the end of March, compared with 1.619 million in February, industry data showed on Monday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.611 million in March 2008, provisional International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products fell to 2.740 million tonnes at the end of March, versus 2.912 million in February and 2.850 million in March 2008.
