Unwrought aluminium stocks 1.409 mln T in May - IAI

LONDON, June 26 (Reuters) - Western world unwrought aluminium stocks fell to 1.409 million tonnes at the end of May, compared with a revised 1.410 million in April, industry data showed on Friday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.686 million in May 2008, provisional International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products fell to 2.520 million tonnes at the end of May, versus a revised 2.576 million in April and 2.947 in May 2008.
