A THIRD round of talks took place yesterday between Anglesey Aluminium director David Bloor and government officials as efforts continue to thrash out a deal to save 350 jobs. The discussions are believed to be centred around a counter-proposal made by the company in response to a £48 million rescue package offered by the government. Anglesey’s Labour MP Albert Owen said: “The next few weeks will be crucial as the company representatives make a business case and they are developing that case now through experts.Obviously the government has to safeguard the taxpayers’ money and the company wants to maintain good trading conditions.
