July avge aluminium output falls to 63,100 T -IAI

LONDON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - Global daily average primary aluminium output excluding China fell to 63,100 tonnes in July from 63,300 tonnes in June, provisional figures from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) showed on Thursday. While global output fell, China's primary aluminium production rose to 1.088 million tonnes in July from 1.029 million tonnes in June. Total production in July was 1.956 million tonnes compared 1.899 million tonnes in June. Total production in July 2008 was 2.171 million tonnes. Figures are in thousands of tonnes.
