Unwrought aluminium stocks 1.232 mln T in Aug -IAI

LONDON, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Western world unwrought aluminium stocks rose to 1.232 million tonnes in August from a revised 1.179 million tonnes at the end of July, industry data showed on Monday. Unwrought stocks stood at 1.707 million in August 2008, figures from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) showed. Total aluminium smelter stocks excluding finished end-products rose to 2.306 million tonnes at the end of August versus a revised 2.254 million tonnes in July.
