MARKET TALK: US Holiday, Chinese Selling May Cap Zinc

Zinc's strong fundamentals likely to propel it to test record high of $4,480/ton which hit on Nov. 10, but test unlikely this week due to U.S. holiday, possible sales by Chinese players, says trader at major Japanese house. "The fundamentals are still in favor of stronger prices, (but) we may see selling from the Chinese if domestic prices don't rise as much as international prices." LME 3-month zinc last at $4,357/ton, down $3 on London PM kerb.
