Chemical specialist company Quaker Chemical Corp (NYSE: KWR | PowerRating) reported on Friday the completion of the acquisition of the US aluminium hot rolling oil business of DA Stuart for an undisclosed value.
Under the agreement, Quaker Chemical Corp acquired DA Stuart's US aluminium hot rolling oil business from Houghton International.
This acquisition also grants Quaker Chemical Corp with the rights to sell the product portfolio internationally.
Following this acquisition, Quaker becomes a leading player in the US aluminium hot rolling market, serving some of the largest reversing mills, single and multi-stand tandem finishing mills and combination mill systems in the country.
The acquired aluminium hot rolling oil business reportedly recorded net sales of approximately USD7m in 2009.
