Alcoa volunteers log 1,500 hours in October

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. — Employees at Alcoa's Warrick County plant logged more than 1,500 hours of volunteer service in October, the company reported.


For the past five years, Alcoa has designated October as its Month of Service, a time when employees are encouraged to volunteer at community organizations.


Alcoa Warrick employees filled more than 330 volunteer positions in October, the company said. These positions represented more than 1,500 hours of volunteer service to 18 different Tri-State organizations.


Companywide, more than 29,000 Alcoa employees in 24 countries volunteered for nearly 1,000 events in October.
