Thursday, Jan 21, 2021

In 2021, many of the market participants were optimistic about the future output and demand for aluminum in China.

However, there's still a risk about the aluminum price, over-supply concern.
In 2020, many of the Chinese alumina refining enterprises were shut-down because of the Covid-19 epidemic, but those mills were started to resume production since this year gradually, which might pressure the aluminum future price’s increase.
According to the official statistic in China, the total output of primary aluminum last November was over 3 million tons, decreased by 3.2% month on month, but still increased by 7.7% year on year.
