B-H-P Billiton miners who voiced safety concerns on the ABC's 7:30 Report on Monday night will have a chance to have their concerns addressed by the company's global head of iron ore today.

Ian Ashby will visit the Mount Whaleback mine near Newman to speak to the workers.

More than 200 workers signed a petition saying they are being intimidated and victimised after signing Australian workplace agreements.

The workers said they feared a serious accident would happen because people are too scared to notify management of any safety concerns.

A B-H-P spokesman, Michael Buzzard, says the most appropriate way for workplace issues to be resolved is on site.

"Ian will also be talking one on one with the people who appeared on the 7:30 Report so we get a better understanding of their concerns and most importantly identify unsafe practices if they're happening and stop them," he said.
