BHP Billiton announced 23 April that its Q3 Aluminum Output fell 4% at 318,000 tons in the 07/08 fiscal year due to power crisis in South Africa that reined production of its smelters in the country. Iron ore and oil production of the company entailed a rise and alumina increased 1% on year, but coal, copper and nickel showed a decline. COPYRIGHT All rights reserved.
