Alcan becomes a member of COREM

Mr. Yves Harvey, Executive Director of COREM, is proud to announce that Alcan has became one of the consortium's member companies, effective July 01, 2007. Alcan will then be a partner in the pre-competitive research program of COREM with all other members: the Agnico-Eagle Mines, the Corus Group, the Iamgold Corporation, the Inmet Mining Corporation, the Iron Ore Company of Canada, QIT - Fer et Titane, the Québec Cartier Mining Company, Wabush Mines, Xstrata, and also the "ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune" of the Quebec Government.
