Alcan to Upgrade Duct System of Potline 2 in Lynemouth Smelter

Alcan UK is projecting to upgrade the Basic and Detailed Engineering of the inlet duct system of the Potline Nr 2 at their Lynemouth Smelter. The smelter is currently equipped with FTC and GTC together with URT technologies from Danieli Corus, and the new project will include a provision for the proprietary Dual Duct Boosted Suction system, which improves the performance of the duct system and consequently the environmental performance in the Smelter Potline.
