MARKET TALK: World Output Could Press Aluminum Prices

Demand for Boeing (BA) and other aircraft manufacturers remains strong, and thus demand for aluminum in the aerospace industry is robust, says Brian Schmidt, procurement agent and raw materials strategist with Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In fact, he said at the Platts Aluminum Symposium 2007, the industry needs more heat-treated aluminum plate. "We need your help to bring more capacity online," he told attendees.
