Chalco Posts 3Q Net Profit of $272.9M

Aluminum Corp. of China, China's largest alumina and aluminum producer by output, posted a net profit of CNY2.04 billion ($272.9 million) for the three months ended Sept. 30. The company, better known as Chalco, said its net profit for the January-September period totaled CNY8.44 billion. Chalco, whose yuan-denominated A shares started trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange April 30, didn't provide comparative data for a year earlier. The company also has American Depository Receipts traded in the U.S. and H shares traded in Hong Kong.
