Wanda to Develop High-valued Plate Widening World Market

When asked about the operation conditions of Wanda Aluminum, Minister Zhang said the orders in the recent months climbed up steadily as the aluminum market recovered. Wanda Aluminum’s cold rolling production line now has capacity of 12,000 tons per month; with the annual production of medium plate 15,000 tons. Aluminum price in Shanghai Futures Exchange has recovered 32 percents, however, not as to last years’ level, as aluminum price is highly affected by world economy, he said. Although the financial crisis endangers aluminum producers in China, it also brings opportunities to companies to increase the flexibility of operations and productions capacity to meet customers’ demands. Zhang said Wanda Aluminum will develop high-valued products to expand world market share in the future.
