According to the report, China’s Wenshan Aluminum Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Yunnan Wenshan Aluminum Co Ltd., would begin operation of its first potline at the end of April for a hydropower and 500,000-ton aluminum smelting project with a total estimated investment of RMB 4 billion.
The company had invested about RMB 800,000 million for the project already. It was said that the hydropower and aluminum smelting project would have a capacity of 3.43 million tons in Wenshan prefecture. The company was also managing an aluminum refinery and having an alumina output of 266,000 tons in the first quarter of 2020.
