MOSCOW-Ukraine produced in January-March 405,880 metric tons of alumina, 1.4% less than in January-March 2006, the economic policy ministry reported Thursday.
The Nikolaev Alumina Plant, controlled by the Russian Rusal, increased its alumina output in January-March by 0.4% to 347,800 tons.
The Zaporozhsky Aluminum Combine, controlled by the Russian Sual, produced 58,080 tons of alumina in January-March, 7.5% less than in January-March 2006.
Ukarine's primary aluminum output in January-March fell by 1.4% on the year to 28,013 tons, all produced by the Zaporozhsky Aluminum Combine.
